Who is Asandi?
Asandi Conner, Founder + CEO
I am a voice bearer, strategist, writer, coach, and designer of beautiful spaces. I fell in love with words as a child and have been honing my innate communication skills ever since.
Before launching Say It Write in 2018, my family, friends, and colleagues would ask me to help them find the right words to express what they wanted to say. Say It Write was inspired by them, my childhood experiences, and my first role model, my mother. Learn more about these influences and other creative musings in my Black Writing Hood blog posts.
Over time, I built a reputation as a talented verbal and written communicator, mindful listener, and thought partner who is passionate about encouraging others to use their voice. Through Say It Write, I craft and co-create language, help solve problems and articulate the heart of leaders, entrepreneurs, organizations, and brands. Their words matter because they and their work matter.
The phrase “lurking in the shadows” evokes negative
imagery because we choose to see darkness.
However, a shadow is created by the blockage of
light. We are not hiding and "nothing can dim the ligh
light which shines from within (Maya Angelou)."
